A new study has confirmed that athletes who eat low-carb diets burn more fat and show greater levels of endurance.


We're constantly told that we should avoid fatty foods if we want to slim down.

And yet, a new study has found that high fat diets might just be the key to weight loss.

Researcher from Massey University in New Zealand determined that switching to a low carbohydrate, high fat diet will help you burn off more fat during exercise.

Lead author Will O'Connor, a PhD student at the university, said: 'This research shows that changing your diet can totally change how your body runs.

'You can literally increase your fitness by changing your diet.'
